BLaST Intermediate Unit 17, an educational service provider, is accepting applications for the following anticipated full-time position.

Web Application Developer/Programmer Analyst

  • Qualifications (Minimum):
    Associate Degree in Computer Science and Five (5) Years Experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with Three (3) Years Experience supplemented by recognized courses in network technology.  Other equivalent combinations of training, experience, and education will be considered.

  • Business Skills:
    Professional customer focused; Work in: rapidly changing environment.  Display strong inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills.  Must be willing to take ownership for projects and be able to work effectively in a team environment.  This job is best-suited to self-starters with an aptitude for personally committing to a task and seeing it through from conception to completion.   • Technical Skills:
    The successful candidate will be proficient in both C# and JavaScript, and will demonstrate a working knowledge of T-SQL. Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and Web API is highly preferred. Familiarity with source control systems, specifically Microsoft Team Foundation Server, is a plus. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, in particular IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server.

As a member of the Intermediate Unit’s programming team, you will be expected to take ownership of software development projects, establish positive relationships with clients, and independently complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Critical problem solving skills are a must, as is a commitment to producing reliable, well-tested software. Your work will include the design and implementation of new features, as well as the support and enhancement of existing functionality.
