Secondary Transition: Supports for Students (18-21 years) with Intellectual Disabilities
This workshop will cover a variety of topics that effect programs where students with intellectual disabilities (18 – 21 years) are served. One section will cover the responsibilities providers have relating to adult protective services and mandatory reporting requirements. A representative from the Department of Human Services, Adult Protective Services has agreed to come to conduct this portion of the training.
Another topic will be transition assessment for students with intellectual disabilities. I will conduct this portion of the training.
The remaining topic is assistive technology for students with intellectual disabilities. Dana Vermilya will be conducting this section of the training.
