To continue growing our coaching best practices, participants will fill their coaching bucket with 'virtual' visits of different coaching districts. At each district, coaches will focus on one of the four elements of coaching including one-on-one and small group coaching, analyzing data, using evidenced-based literacy/instructional strategies and strategies to promote reflection. The showcase will focus on the process of coaching and is applicable to all identified PIIC coaches; however, it is also applicable to PreK-12 teacher leaders, instructional coaches, department chairs, curriculum coordinators and principals. When registering with payment, the participant is purchasing the bundle, which consists of three showcases. If an event occurs and the participant is unable to attend, please let Rebecca Gibboney (rgibboney@iu13.org) know in advance for planning purposes. When purchasing the PIIC PLUS bundle the Instructional Coach will also receive the Summer 'PIICnic' retreat, Coaching Workshops, State Action Plans, one on-site Mentor visit (3/district max), coffee with Coach (once a quarter), Eduprotocol strategies, amd a copy of 'The Happiness Project' by Gretchen Rubin! 10/11/2020 | 10/12/2020 | 10/13/2020 | 10/14/2020(2 events)12:00 pm: Highly Qualified Para Assessment Testing 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm ZOOM 2400 Reach Road Williamsport, PA 17701 US 570-323-8561 Workshop will provide practical training and support in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, and confidentiality. Participants will take the assessments in these areas designed to fulfill the current requirements of No Child Left Behind for "highly qualified paraprofessionals." No Child Left Behind requires that all individuals entering the paraprofessional field to be Highly Qualified. To be considered Highly Qualified, individuals are required to have (1) of the following: • Have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary study • Possess an associate degree or higher • Pass a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics. | 10/28/2020(1 event) | 10/29/2020(1 event) | 10/30/2020(1 event)9:00 am: eQUIP Online Learning Services (In-Service) 9:00 am - 12:00 pm ZOOM none This in-service is for POCs and other staff who work with your eQUIP eLearning programs. Each member district should send at least one person, but additional team members are welcome. We will spend time looking at best practices in eLearning, success stories, and practical tips to get the most out of the systems we all use on a daily basis. It is a time to meet up with like-minded professionals from surrounding districts, find solutions to problems, and develop a network that can be relied on throughout the school year.
