This is an interactive workshop merging AT & STEM! We begin by discussing joint attention skills. Next we will look at different technology options available to meet the needs of our students and make language learning fun. The day will include discussion of tools that can be used with students with special needs to build language skills. We will also discuss STEM activities often used in the general education setting and how these activities can be used to build language skills and provide ideas for inclusion. The day will include hands on activities. Registration begins at 8:15 AM.
COST: $40 (includes lunch, materials & ACT 48 processing)

9:00 am: Fall 4 Innovation ~ Option A or B
November 1, 2019 –
Fall for Innovation is designed to expose teachers from all content areas to innovation tools and practices that will enhance their current curriculum. This professional development offering is intended for ANY classroom teacher (k-12) or administrator that would like to gain more experience and knowledge with innovation and STEM education across all content areas. Participants will spend the morning interacting with one another through a hands-on, interactive session with Lending Library tools and gadgets, plus more Instructional Technology tools. In the afternoon, participants will develop lessons, for any content area, that uses a 21st Century Mindset (innovation, critical thinking, etc.). This session will reiterate that STEM and innovation are not a silo subject, but rather should be integrated into daily lessons across all content areas.
