03/12/2025Workshop will provide practical training and support in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, and confidentiality. Participants will take the assessments in these areas designed to fulfill the current requirements for "highly qualified paraprofessionals." . To be considered Highly Qualified, individuals are required to have (1) of the following:
• Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study
• Possess an associate degree or higher
• Pass a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics

School districts and agencies will be invoiced upon completion. If your school district or agency is not covering the registration fee, you will be required to present payment on the day of the workshop. Other attendees (non-district, non-agency) will be required to present payment on the day of the workshop. Materials and ACT 48/Para credits processing is included in the cost. This event is for paraprofessionals who have not tested previously or for new hires only.Date/Location

03/12/2025 – 03/13/2025This opportunity is intended for K-12 Math Educators. Mathematics is a challenging subject for both students and teachers. Complex skills, multi-step procedures, and critical thinking is often overwhelming to our students, leading to a lack of engagement and achievement. This two in-person professional learning opportunity will implement Peter Liljedahl’s Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics (Grades K-12) strategies to discuss and explore both macro and micro moves focused on classroom environment, building a learning community, and designing motivating tasks for problem solving. Participants are required to attend both days. Participants will walk away with Thinking Classroom strategies that can be implemented immediately into their own classrooms.
