To address these challenges, school representatives and community support partners that directly support these students are invited to join IU17 and learn more about how the Re-Entry Guidance and Programming developed by the Office of School Climate and Wellbeing can be used within your district to support students.
Target Audience: School District Administrators, Guidance Counselors, Attendance Officers, Social Workers, School Psychologists, TaC, and Community Partners (Probation, CYS, Drug and Alcohol Services, Mental Health Professionals, Health Care Providers, etc)Location: Williamsport office

Structured Literacy Leadership: What Administrators Need to Know!

02/12/2026This course equips school leaders with knowledge and tools to meet Act 55, Chapter 49 requirements related to the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy. Participants will explore: Key Research and Core Principles of Reading Instruction Strategies to evaluate and strengthen literacy programs. Supporting explicit, evidence-based practices within a Structured Literacy and MTSS framework to improve outcomes for all students, especially diverse learners and those below grade level. There are 18-hours of required in-person training that will be on-site at BLaST offices. There are another 12-hours of job-embedded and asynchronous learning: Asynchronous - 3 hours Job Embedded -9 hours

02/24/2026This Math Networking opportunity is for K-12 Math Educators to connect, collaborate, and share best practices with other mathematics teachers of the same grade level and/or across grade levels. The networking group will meet three times in person:
(October 2, 2025; December 11, 2025 (Dec 17th Snow Day); and February 24, 2026 (March 4th Snow Day)To maximize professional learning, participants are strongly encouraged, but not required, to attend all sessions. The professional learning topics will include but are not limited to:
- Background Skills / Prior Knowledge
- Curriculum Resources
- PSSA & Keystone Test Preparation
- Student Engagement / Total Participation TechniquesLocation: Canton office
