Create a kite using a paper plate

Grades 6 -12
Create a kite that does not use the traditional geometric kite design

Materials Needed:

  • Light-weight material (trash bag, shopping bag, plastic table cloth, newspaper) Frame materials (straws/dowels/sticks)
  • Kite tether (yarn, rope, string, fishing line, twine)
  • Fastening materials (yarn, rope, string, fishing line, twine, tape, glue) Measurement device (ruler, tape measure, yardstick)
  • Scissors and hole punch
  • Marking devices (marker, pen, pencil, crayon),
  • Art supplies
