Vision | Mission

The BLaST Ambassador program motivates employees to become change agents acting through our vision and mission of transforming lives and communities through educational services. The Ambassador program is rooted in the four pillars: Lead, Serve, Promote, Connect
The program will:

  • Educate employees of BLaST Intermediate Unit 17 services
  • Prepare ambassadors to be spokespersons for the Intermediate Unit
  • Involve ambassadors in leadership development and opportunities as they arise and are interested

How does this program work?

Participants will need to commit to participate in 3.5 full days of professional learning sessions around the power of influence and the life of the Intermediate Unit. Additionally, each participant will have the opportunity to shadow a program or division of their choice for a day and work together with their small cohort in a community service project.

Is the Ambassador Program for me?

If you have completed the BLaST Intermediate Unit 17 Induction Program and/or have successfully served at the IU for at least two years, this program is perfect for you! If you are interested in exploring leadership opportunities within the IU and build community, this program is the solution! The Ambassasdor cohort is a small cohort that will focus on leading, promoting, connecting and serving as official BLaST Ambassadors at local, regional, and possibly state events during and upon completion of the program.
