This series offers a supportive space to share ideas, deepen implementation, and strengthen systems across all tiers. Who Should Attend: PBIS leads, coaches, and team members from any school within the IU region. Attendance at all four sessions is encouraged but not required. Topics Will Include: • Refreshing and boosting Tier 1 practices • Exploring and enhancing Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports • Using data-based decision making to guide implementation • Sharing resources, tools, and success stories • Highlighting innovative and unique practices • Building a regional network of PBIS support Each session will include time for learning, discussion, and planning, with opportunities to collaborate and problem-solve with peers from across the IU. Day two emphasizes hands-on activities, allowing educators to experiment with AI technologies and develop actionable plans for incorporating AI into their curriculum and instructional methods. Rules, Regulations, and Procedures will be the main focus. Topics will include an overview of PA’s definition of gifted, a review of Chapter 16, and a review of the forms that support gifted education. Special focus will be on the procedural requirements of screening, evaluating, and planning for the instruction of gifted students. Results from recent compliance monitoring visits will be shared to help teachers strengthen their service delivery models. Additional topics may include supporting differentiation in the general education setting and supporting goal setting and instruction in an individualized setting.
