This 8-week introductory course will focus on the expressive and receptive skills of ASL. Topics in the course include: basic sign vocabulary, facial expression, fingerspelling, numbers, communication tips, and the importance of gestures. After completing this course, the participant will have a better understanding of Deaf Culture. “Hands-on” work, small group activities, and games will provide confidence to use ASL with the Deaf Community.
