09/25/2022 | 09/26/2022 | 09/27/2022(1 event)8:30 am: LETRS 3rd Edition - Volume 2 8:30 am - 3:00 pm *Completion of LETRS Volume 1 (Units 1-4) is a prerequisite for Volume 2. LETRS addresses four critical outcomes for effective literacy instruction: understanding the science of reading, converting research to practice, enhancing teacher effectiveness, and transforming instruction. Volume 2 focuses specifically on oral language and vocabulary, understanding reading comprehension, text-driven comprehension instruction, and the reading-writing connection. With Bridge to Practice activities, educators implement the knowledge gained directly into their classrooms. Dates: September 27, November 8, March 28, April 18 (must attend all sessions) Location: Canton BLaST Office (Sept & Nov) & Williamsport BLaST Office (Mar & Apr) Lunch will be provided | 09/28/2022(1 event)9:00 am: Acadience Reading K-6 Data Interpretation Workshop 9:00 am - 2:30 pm This workshop is designed for those who have taken the Essential Workshop and are ready to learn how to interpret data to inform instruction. This workshop offers advanced training on the use of Acadience Reading K-6 assessment data in an Outcomes-Driven Model, perfect for schools implementing a Response to Intervention or MTSS approach. Topics include using data to match students to resources, group students for instruction, select materials for progress monitoring, and to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction. | 09/29/2022 | 09/30/2022(1 event)9:30 am: eQUIP Online Learning Services In-Service 9:30 am - 3:00 pm This in-service is for POCs and other staff who work with your eQUIP eLearning programs. Each member district should send at least one person, but additional team members are welcome. We will spend time looking at best practices in eLearning, success stories, and practical tips to get the most out of the systems we all use on a daily basis. It is a time to meet up with like-minded professionals from surrounding districts, find solutions to problems, and develop a network that can be relied on throughout the school year. Participants will leave with a firm grasp on these complex terms and how to align them with the 5 Pillars of Literacy instruction.
