| 12/12/2021 | 12/13/2021(1 event)9:00 am: Trauma Informed Educators Collaborative ~ Individual and Bundle options 9:00 am - 2:00 pm In this collaborative, we will be focusing on the Four R’s of Trauma-Informed Care from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as it relates to student development and school culture. Each session will offer evidence-based practices that will help you develop a deeper understanding of trauma, its impact on both educators’ and students’ learning and engagement, and strategies for avoiding re-traumatization. Additionally, we will guide participants through professional standards of care that can help to prevent burnout and assist in building better relationships with colleagues and students. Training will be given in a learning and workshopping format and geared toward School Counselors, School Psychologists, and School Resource Officers, along with any other educator wishing to learn the most influential trauma-informed practices for their district. Attendance at all four sessions is required. Districts have the option buddle this collaborative with Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) and QPR Suicide Prevention Training for up to 6 people for an additional cost. The Innovation & Technology Collaborative (ITC) is a network of educators and administrators interested in implementing 21st Century approaches to transform teaching and learning. ACT 48: 4.5 hours | 12/15/2021(2 events)9:00 am: Demystifying Data and the School Improvement Process 9:00 am - 11:30 am The MTSS model has many moving parts. As school leaders, it is important to have an in-depth understanding of data and how to demystify that data for teachers to collaborate. During this highly-interactive half-day session, participants will begin to understand Tier One instruction for student growth and examine data to promote data conversations, as school leaders. Featuring Educational Consultant, Diane Coulter COST: No Charge ACT 48: 2,5 REGISTRATION CLOSES: December 13, 2021 9:00 am: PIIC Plus ~ 2022 9:00 am - 2:00 pm PIIC Plus 202210/20/2021 to 02/16/2022To enhance your Pennsylvania Institute for Instructional Coaching (PIIC) experience, join us for PIIC Plus. To continue growing our coaching best- practices, participants will fill their coaching bucket with ‘virtual’ visits of different coaching districts. At each district, coaches will focus on one of the four elements of coaching including one-on-one and small group coaching, analyzing data, using evidenced-based literacy/instructional strategies, and strategies to promote reflective. The showcases will focus on the process of coaching and is applicable to all identified PIIC coaches; however, it is also applicable to PreK-12 teacher leaders, instructional coaches, department chairs, curriculum coordinators, and principals. When registering with payment, the participant is purchasing the bundle, which consists of the three showcases. When purchasing the PIIC Plus Bundle the Instructional Coach will also receive Coaching Workshops, State Action Plans, one on-site Mentor visit (3/district max), coffee with coach (once a quarter), and a copy of our featured book for the year! | 12/16/2021(1 event)8:30 am: Making Ends Meet for Students from Poverty Series 8:30 am - 11:30 am Making Ends Meet for Students from Poverty Series is to address the opportunity and access gap for economically disadvantaged students. In collaboration with the Lycoming County United Way, this will be done through creating sustainable partnerships and educational resources through a community poverty simulation and a professional development series. 09/28/2021 Keynote speaker Dr. Paul Gorski introduces the series. (8:30 AM ~ 11:30 AM) 11/11/2021 Diversity & Inclusion ~ Part 2 (8:30 AM ~ 11:30 AM) This is a multi session event and you must attend the Keynote, the 3 parts of Diversity & Inclusion and ONE of the Simulations to receive ACT 48 credit.
