In this hands-on professional development workshop, educators will take a deep dive into CS First, Google’s free ready-to-teach introductory computer science (CS) curriculum. As part of the Code with Google initiative, participants will find an entire curriculum along with all the necessary lesson plan resources to help teach these skills to students in grades 4-8. During the workshop, participants will: Review the CS First curriculum. Learn best practices with a CS First class from a student and teacher perspective. Create a plan of action for teaching CS First within their subject areas.
