10/01/2020To enhance your Pennsylvania Institute for Instructional Coaching (PIIC) join us for PIIC PLUS! To continue growing our coaching best practices, participants will fill their coaching bucket with 'virtual' visits of different coaching districts. At each district, coaches will focus on one of the four elements of coaching including one-on-one and small group coaching, analyzing data, using evidenced-based literacy/instructional strategies and strategies to promote reflection. The showcase will focus on the process of coaching and is applicable to all identified PIIC coaches; however, it is also applicable to PreK-12 teacher leaders, instructional coaches, department chairs, curriculum coordinators and principals. When registering with payment, the participant is purchasing the bundle, which consists of three showcases. If an event occurs and the participant is unable to attend, please let Rebecca Gibboney (rgibboney@iu13.org) know in advance for planning purposes. When purchasing the PIIC PLUS bundle the Instructional Coach will also receive the Summer 'PIICnic' retreat, Coaching Workshops, State Action Plans, one on-site Mentor visit (3/district max), coffee with Coach (once a quarter), Eduprotocol strategies, amd a copy of 'The Happiness Project' by Gretchen Rubin!

Cost: $500 @ 1st coach, $400 @ 2nd coach & $250 @ 3+ coaches

10/21/2020Code.org is offering this virtual workshop to prepare educators, content-area teachers, librarians, and technology specialists to introduce computer science basics in a format that’s fun and accessible to the youngest learners. The workshop will cover content for an elementary school curriculum (unplugged and plugged) and be broken into three 2 hour sessions. These sessions are an opportunity to increase your knowledge and confidence in facilitating an engaged computer science classroom, and a chance to connect with other educators who are working to bring computer science to their schools.

10/30/2020This in-service is for POCs and other staff who work with your eQUIP eLearning programs. Each member district should send at least one person, but additional team members are welcome. We will spend time looking at best practices in eLearning, success stories, and practical tips to get the most out of the systems we all use on a daily basis. It is a time to meet up with like-minded professionals from surrounding districts, find solutions to problems, and develop a network that can be relied on throughout the school year.
This In-Service begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM. Registration begins at 8:45 AM.
