ZOOMnone - Introduction to Restorative Practices & Using Circles Effectively
Introduction to Restorative Practices & Using Circles Effectively
–
05/13/2021You and your staff will learn a range of strategies that can be used every day. Attendees will learn how to set high expectations while being supportive. Opportunities be provided to practice how to provide direct feedback and how to ask questions that foster accountability. The most effective methods to resolve common conflicts will be presented. We devote the second day entirely to teaching attendees to facilitate restorative circles. Circles are an essential process for building social capital, resolving social problems and responding when harm occurs. Circles create a positive learning environment. Attendees will learn by participating in circles with other attendees and taking turns learning how to facilitate a circle. By the end of the day, staff will be prepared to return to their setting and run their first circle! This event is held on the second and fourth Thursday from February 11, 2021 through May27, 2021.
