Participants will learn what constitutes an effective transition program and how to write an IEP that includes coordinated, measurable annual goals and transition services, thus enabling students to meet their post-secondary goals after graduation from High School. Participants will also be given tools which will allow them to critically review IEPs for compliance and effective Secondary Transition practices. This video-based curriculum teaches students foundational CS, problem-solving and collaboration skills through themes related to students’ interests. In this hands-on professional development workshop, teachers will learn how to use CS First, Google’s free ready-to-teach introductory computer science (CS) curriculum for elementary and middle school students.
