To continue growing our coaching best practices, participants will fill their coaching bucket with 'virtual' visits of different coaching districts. At each district, coaches will focus on one of the four elements of coaching including one-on-one and small group coaching, analyzing data, using evidenced-based literacy/instructional strategies and strategies to promote reflection. The showcase will focus on the process of coaching and is applicable to all identified PIIC coaches; however, it is also applicable to PreK-12 teacher leaders, instructional coaches, department chairs, curriculum coordinators and principals. When registering with payment, the participant is purchasing the bundle, which consists of three showcases. If an event occurs and the participant is unable to attend, please let Rebecca Gibboney (rgibboney@iu13.org) know in advance for planning purposes. When purchasing the PIIC PLUS bundle the Instructional Coach will also receive the Summer 'PIICnic' retreat, Coaching Workshops, State Action Plans, one on-site Mentor visit (3/district max), coffee with Coach (once a quarter), Eduprotocol strategies, amd a copy of 'The Happiness Project' by Gretchen Rubin! | 10/04/2020 | 10/05/2020 | 10/06/2020 | 10/07/2020(2 events)9:00 am: TD - League of Learners (SYE 2021) 9:00 am - 2:00 pm This professional development offering will take the form of a professional learning network for administrators, curriculum coordinators and teacher leaders (grades 3-8) who are willing to collaborate in round table discussions and dive deeper with text-dependent analysis. Participants must have previously attended Teaching Deliberate Analysis in order to participate in A League of Learners. 9:00 am: TDA: Skills Lab (SYE 2021) 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Check-in with BLaST Intermediate Unit 17 for our K-8 TDA Skills Lab. Every month we will share a specific skill that educators should practice with themselves and their students to develop an analytical mindset and build a culture of analysis. These skills are recyclable and should be used throughout the school year. While the skills remain the same, the instruction may look different from grade to grade. The skills lab will run asynchronously and virtually so that educators can dive in when ready. Content will drop each month and reflection exercises will be embedded throughout each skill section. There will be touchpoints along the way with Rebecca Gibboney and Erin Hamilton, who will help bridge these skills into practice. $40/participant We do not have dates completely set yet but registration will be open until March to be safe. The cohort package is intended for the consistent attendance of a school counselor for all three sessions. The full day professional learning topics will reference ASCA recognized materials, PDE Initiatives, local community efforts and district needs. Session Topics Include: 1. Maximizing Student Achievement: Placement, Intervention and Planning 2. Understanding Culturally Responsive Counseling: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion 3. Building Community Partnerships: Health Wellness and Workforce 4. Strengthening the Home and School Connection: Communicating with Compassion 5. | 10/28/2020 | 10/29/2020 | 10/30/2020(1 event)9:00 am: eQUIP Online Learning Services (In-Service) 9:00 am - 12:00 pm ZOOM none This in-service is for POCs and other staff who work with your eQUIP eLearning programs. Each member district should send at least one person, but additional team members are welcome. We will spend time looking at best practices in eLearning, success stories, and practical tips to get the most out of the systems we all use on a daily basis. It is a time to meet up with like-minded professionals from surrounding districts, find solutions to problems, and develop a network that can be relied on throughout the school year.
