N/A: Thinking through the Core Standards “Using DSRP to Unpack the Standards N/A - 2400 Reach Road Williamsport, PA 17701 USA 570-323-8561 We'd like to offer you an opportunity to embrace the IU's Vision of 250K Thinkers, through specific efforts to get your students thinking about their work more deeply. As you know, we believe this will develop students' understanding of course content (PA Core Standards) and an understanding of their thinking processes that bring meaning to their work. We are really excited to offer you a spot in a Level One training with Drs. Laura and Derek Cabrera. This space-limited training is a one day event that includes an engaging keynote that lays out the theoretical and research base for DSRP and a skill building workshop in which you will learn how to apply DSRP to your daily practice through the use of the Guiding Questions, ThinkBlocks, and DSRP Diagrams. All classroom materials (ThinkBlocks, and a classroom poster) as well as a copy of the book Thinking at Every Desk will be provided to you to support DSRP implementation in your classroom. In addition, you will leave with one or more concrete plans for how to implement this framework into daily practice. And, we have organized and will invite you to participate in an ongoing series of Sessions next year that will operate very much like a PLC around thinking throughout the 2014-2015 academic year. This is a great opportunity to deepen your understanding and practice and become a pedagogical leader in your building around our vision. This training is open to new participants.
