This session will focus on how to develop quality summative assessments that meet the criteria of SLOs. Participants will explore the following aspects of creating quality summative assessments and SLOs: - How to use Webb's Depth of Knowledge to create rigorous assessments - How to design effective multiple choice questions - How to create rubrics to accurately measure student performance - Tools to support building quality summative assessments that meet the demands of SLOs Participants need to bring a draft of an SLO or other summative assessment that they are currently using or plan to use in 2014-2015. Time will be built into this session to review and revise participants' assessments. Participants should also bring a digital device to support them in the development and revisions of their assessments. | 04/29/2014(1 event)All day: School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Model School Visit – Jersey Shore Elementary School All day - Jersey Shore Area Elementary School 601 Locust Street Jersey Shore, PA 17754 570-323-8561 Jersey Shore Elementary School has been selected by PaTTAN as a model school in its implementation of School Wide Positive Behavior Support. The school is hosting three visits for schools that are interested in implementation of SW PBIS. The visits will summarize Tier One implementation including developing expectations, designing a matrix, effectively managing consequences, reinforcement efforts with students, data management, and evaluation of effectiveness at Tier One. The visits will also detail interventions at Tier Two and Three; including social and academic groups, check in and checkout, counseling interventions, and universal screening efforts. Visitors will have an opportunity to visit classrooms to visualize embedding SW PBIS into the classroom.
