The Intermediate Units Project Tracking System or IU-PTS was developed in response to a meeting of PAIU Executive Directors where it was agreed that all Intermediate Units would use the same web-based application to account for time spent on the seven PDE initiatives outlined in the Department’s “Scope of Work” (SOW) descriptions. Using a single application for reporting and billing purposes will assure that services requested by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) in the SOW agreements have been delivered and also allow Intermediate Units to track the actual amount of time devoted to each project. PDE anticipates that the Inter-Governmental Agreements funding these projects will be delivered to the fiscal agents in each of the 9 PIL regions shortly. These Intermediate Units will be responsible for reimbursing the IUs within their PIL region boundaries for staff time devoted to each of the projects.
IU-PTS utilizes a custom designed, state-of-the-art software/database platform to track time, effort, and expenses for staff members throughout their workday. The system is designed with Active Directory Integration for ease-of-use and eliminating the need to create new user names and passwords. The software was designed with teachers and administrators in mind with convenient drop down menus and editable account and job categories.
