Intruder Lockdown Training Videoconference
This is a basic course for employees provided by law enforcement which describes general practices for dealing with an active shooter and how to respond when an active shooter enters your vicinity. Included in the discussion will be a profile of an active shooter, how you should respond when law enforcement arrives on the scene, lessons learned from past and recent shooting incidents, and steps to consider when preparing for and managing an active shooter situation. The course will also include an update on current threat awareness and steps you can take to better prepare for and enhance your own personal safety.
Students will be able to identify potential scenarios for using run, hide, or fight options if faced with an active shooter situation. Students will also have a better awareness of various threats they may potentially encounter and steps they can take to enhance their personal safety, both on and off the job.
This 2-hour program will include:
• How to prepare for and respond during an act of workplace violence or active shooter situation.
• Lessons learned from recent and past incidents.
• Potential scenarios and techniques for using run, hide, or fight options.
• How to respond when law enforcement arrives on the scene.
• Current threat awareness and steps to take to enhance your own personal safety and survival.
This is valuable information you can use both on and off the job to stay safe if ever faced with an Active Shooter situation.
